Call for Artwork
Lux is constantly changing the hanging artwork that graces our slightly paint chipped walls. We try and rotate new work in about every four months or so (or whenever we get tired of looking at it). Please keep in mind that this is a bar and not an official gallery. There is always the slightest chance that some drunk asshole might occasionally bump into or lean against your artwork, so if you are squeamish about that kind of stuff, don’t even bother. With that said, Lux will not be held responsible for any damages. Lux also does not collect a hanging fee or take any percentage of sales (if you choose to sell your work—which most people do). We get cool stuff on our walls and you get a place to show—it’s a win-win thing.
I’m sorry to say that we will not accept any sculpture work or anything too fragile. It would not work well with the space. Also, we will not accept anything that cannot easily be hung, is too heavy, too dark or too small (less than 11" x 14" ish). The best thing to do is put photos of your art on a disc, include dimensions, and send it to us NOW! Or... you can get off your heiney and drop it off yourself. We will only return submissions if you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
